The 22nd Global Summit for International Students on Food, Agriculture, and the Environment was successfully organized and hosted by the University of Agriculture (Tokyo NODAI). The summit reached its conclusion on the 8th of August, 2023, drawing the active participation of over 300 attendees, including educators, university delegates, and students representing approximately 30 universities worldwide. Notably, Tanzania’s Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA) was an integral part of the event.
SUA and NODAI share a robust and enduring educational partnership, particularly in the realms of agricultural education, research, and innovation. This partnership has facilitated valuable academic exchanges for numerous Tanzanian individuals, granting them access to international seminars, scientific conferences, collaborative research ventures, and the development of human resources, among other beneficial opportunities. Since the establishment of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) in 2009, the SUA-NODAI exchange initiative has positively impacted a significant number of Tanzanian beneficiaries.
