The IPBES Assessment of the Sustainable Use of Wild Species and Assessment of the Diverse Values and Valuation of Nature (Values Assessment), approved by the Plenary at #IPBES9 in Bonn, Germany, is off to a very promising start, with wide media coverage.
To keep up this momentum, I would like to invite Governments, organizations, and individuals to support the uptake and use of these assessments, as well as other approved IPBES assessments and deliverables. Efforts to support the uptake of the Sustainable Use and Values Assessments could include the organization of physical or online events and the development of learning and outreach materials that support increased understanding of the key findings of the assessments.
In addition, I would also encourage you to continue to undertake capacity-building efforts in support of IPBES.
Please share, at https://ipbes.net/registration/contributions_to_support_uptake_of_approved_assessments, information on any such events or resources developed, with the technical support unit on capacity-building. At the link, you will also find further information on the ways in which the secretariat and the technical support unit can offer support to such efforts. All submitted activities will be reported to the IPBES Plenary at its 10th session.
