Verra will have a strong presence at the Corporate Investments into Forestry & Biodiversity (CIFB) conference this week. This event will bring together professionals from the finance, forestry, and conservation sectors to explore topics around environmental markets.
Verra will host a side event on “The Use Case for Nature and Biodiversity Credits.”
Sinclair Vincent, Director, Sustainable Development Innovation, will be joined by environmental finance experts to discuss corporate motivations for investing in nature, how project interventions can help secure supply chain dependencies, and how to scale finance and impact in a new market.
Sinclair will also speak at a session on “Guidance for the Biodiversity Credit Markets,” and Julianne Baroody, Senior Director, Forest Carbon Innovation, will participate in a panel on “Ensuring the Integrity of the Carbon Market.”
Other Verra staff will be attending and look forward to connecting with stakeholders, including Hannah Robinson, Manager, Plastic Program, and Jessica Herfurth, Senior Program Officer, Sustainable Development Policy and Markets.
If you are planning to attend CIFB, we hope that you will stop by Verra’s exhibition booth. To organize a formal meeting with any of our team members, please contact events@verra.org.
