A special feature of this programme is that it is targeted to personnel working at universities (lecturers, associate professors, assistant professors), from round the world, who do not yet have a PhD, but have
at least 5 years´ work experience, and already have some publications on peeer-reviewed journals, on the subject. As the title “doctoral programme by publications” implies, the award of the PhD will be based on a set of publications, which candidates need to produce as part of the programme. The PhD by publications is as rigorous as conventional PhD programmes, and the award is not different than any conventional doctoral award. The only difference that the emphasis is on the excellence and academic outputs of candidates, by means of their scholarly achievements and peer-reviewed publications.
