Third year BSc. Forestry students conducted Field Practical Training on forest protection and ecological restoration at Kimboza Forest Reserve between 21st – 26th September 2020.
The students gained practical knowledge on establishment of fire lines, management of alien invasive species. They also practiced on sampling and collection of insects.
The training was led by Dr. Charles J. Kilawe, Mr. Paulo J. Lyimo, Mr. Cosmas J. Emily and Mr. Adili Bugingo of Department of Ecosystems and Conservation (DEC), College of Forestry, Wildlife and Tourism (CFWT), Sokoine University of Agriculture (SUA), Tanzania.
The students were supported by the Zoological Society for the Conservation of Species and Populations(ZGAP).
