The Orange Knowledge Programme (OKP) issues scholarships for IHE Delft Short Courses.
Upcoming deadlines for short courses:
- ·for short courses, held between 02 March and 17 July 2020, the scholarship application period is between 05 September and 06 October 2019.
You will need to have academic admission at IHE Delft before you can apply for a scholarship, so make sure you apply (well before) 23 September to allow IHE Delft time to check your application. The scholarships are awarded in a competitive selection to highly motivated professionals who are in a position to introduce the newly-acquired skills and knowledge into their employing organization. OKP is initiated and fully funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by Nuffic, the organisation for internationalisation in education in the Netherlands.
Step 1: check if you are eligible

Before you apply, make sure you review the eligibility criteria carefully (eligibility criteria OKP) and check whether your employer is willing to nominate you for the scholarship. When you are certain that you are eligible for an OKP scholarship, you can start making the necessary preparations for your application.
For OKP, eligible countries are: Afghanistan, Albania, Armenia, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Colombia, Congo (DRC), Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Guatemala, Guinea, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Liberia, Macedonia, Mali, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Palestinian Territories, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Surinam, Tanzania, Thailand, Tunesia, Uganda, Vietnam, Yemen, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Step 2: apply for admission to an IHE Delft Short Course
Admission criteria
You should have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study, preferably some years of working experience and a good command of the English language. Some courses have specific requirements.
When to apply for a Short Course
You will need to have academic admission at IHE Delft before you can apply for a scholarship. Apply before 23 September 2019. In the meantime start to prepare the documents that need to be submitted to OKP (see below).
How to apply for a Short Course
Apply to a short course by following the application link on the webpage of the short course you wish to enroll in. IHE Delft aims to notify you about the outcome of your application within two weeks. If your application is accepted by IHE Delft you will be notified per email and you can proceed with step 3, application for an Orange Knowledge scholarship.
Step 3: apply for OKP through DELTA
When to apply for an Orange Knowledge scholarship
You can apply for a Orange Knowledge scholarship through Delta -the online application tool for Orange Knowledge scholarships during the scholarship application period (dates mentioned above). Please take note of the following:
- • You first need to have academically acceptance to IHE Delft’s Short Courses (see Step 1)
- • It will not be necessary to upload an admission letter in Delta
- • You are allowed to apply for only one Orange Knowledge(or MSP) scholarship by this deadline
- • You will need to prepare and collect all the necessary documents in advance, this may take some time.
How to apply for an Orange Knowledge scholarship
The link on how to apply for an OKP scholarship in the Delta system will be available from 5 September 2019 onwards. Any former links you used in the past do not work anymore.
It is not necessary to upload an admission letter.

Incomplete applications in DELTA will not be accepted, so please pay good attention to the documents you will need to prepare.
Outcome of selection
Applying for a scholarship often takes time and effort, but might not lead to an OKP scholarship, as Nuffic receives thousands of applications each year. The outcome of the selection round of scholarships will be communicated to the applicants around the middle of December 2019
