I work as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Ecosystems and Conservation since September 2021. I’m responsible for teaching and supervising undergraduate students as well as conducting research and consultancies. Areas of my concentration for teaching, research, and consultancies are Silviculture, Urban Forestry, Agroforestry, and Sustainable Forest Management. My MSc thesis was on the “Silvicultural Treatments of Woodlots of Smallholder Forest Producers and their Relation to the Timber Market in Mufindi District, Tanzania”.

DAAD Scholarship Award for pursuing the MSc degree programme in Tropical Forestry at the Technical University of Dresden, Germany from August 2017 to September 2019.
Silviculture Prize award as the Best 2nd Year B. Sc. Forestry Student in Silviculture (FBL 201) – the academic year 2012/2013. The prize was donated by Dr. B. Lundgren on 28th September 2013 at Sokoine University of Agriculture.
