Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to:

  2. Apply the knowledge of concepts and principles of tree growth and development in research

Physiology of tree growth and development. Significance of water, nutrient supply and plant growth substances in the growth and development of trees. Photosynthesis, respiration, translocation of nutrients, water relations, ionic relations. Responses of woody plants to environmental stress.
