ERASMUS Students Embrace Learning and Exploration in Bonn, Germany

Students from the Department of Forest and Environmental Economics at CFWT in the ERASMUS program in German, had a chance to visit Mountain areas in Ahrtal, German. Along with their GIUB buddies , enjoyed a hike under the bright sunshine and nearly summer-like temperatures. They explored a section of red wine hiking trail and sampled local wines. They also talked about the lingering effects of the 2021 flood disaster that happened in the area.

 

As part of cultural Tourism, students also had a chance to take a tour around the city of Bonn. They learned a rich history of German and its prominent leaders like Adolf Hitler from the colonial period to the dark moments of World War. They saw old building that have been preserved as part of country’s history and of course the new and modern infrastructure which said a lot about country’s’ development transition.

Furthermore, our students had a chance of presenting Sokoine University of Agriculture to German students who would like to study at our university in future days as exchange students in the ERASMUS Program. They shared information on conducive learning environment at Sokoine University of Agriculture, but also shared information on the diversity of various courses that can be studied at the University.
