Students from the Department of Forest and Environmental Economics at CFWT in the ERASMUS program in German, had a chance to visit Mountain areas in Ahrtal, German. Along with their GIUB buddies , enjoyed a hike under the bright sunshine and nearly summer-like temperatures. They explored a section of red wine hiking trail and sampled local wines. They also talked about the lingering effects of the 2021 flood disaster that happened in the area.
As part of their cultural tourism experience, students had the opportunity to tour the city of Bonn. They delved into Germany’s rich history, learning about its prominent leaders, including Adolf Hitler, from the colonial period through the dark times of World War II. They observed historic buildings preserved as part of the nation’s heritage, alongside modern infrastructure that highlights the country’s developmental transition
Additionally, our students had the opportunity to present Sokoine University of Agriculture to German students interested in future exchange programs through ERASMUS. They highlighted the conducive learning environment at Sokoine University of Agriculture and shared information about the diverse range of courses available at the university.
