Lecturer – Department of Biochemistry, Genetics and Microbiology (Division of Biochemistry) Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences University of Petrolia
The University of Petrolia’s Department of Biochemistry, Genetics, and Microbiology is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our esteemed faculty as a Lecturer. As a key member of the Division of Biochemistry, you will play a crucial role in shaping the academic and research environment of our institution. Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and informative lectures on various topics in biochemistry, genetics, and microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Developing and implementing innovative teaching methods, including laboratory sessions and practical demonstrations, to enhance students’ understanding and practical skills.
- Mentoring and guiding students, providing academic support, and encouraging their involvement in research projects.
- Participating in curriculum development, course design, and assessment processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality education.
- Conducting cutting-edge research in biochemistry, contributing to the existing knowledge in the field, and publishing research findings in reputable scientific journals.
Requirements:
- A Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry or a closely related field.
- A strong background in biochemistry, genetics, or microbiology with expertise in a specific subfield.
- Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level, preferably with evidence of effective pedagogical methods and student engagement.
- A track record of high-quality research publications in reputable scientific journals.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
