Welcome to the 2024 Field Practical Trainings

Sokoine University of Agriculture, SUA has for years thrived in provision of quality education to its students at all levels from Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate  and contributing largely to Tanzania, Africa and the Global development through its greater capacity in research activities but also competent knowledge delivery accompanied with field activities in the field of Agriculture, Forestry and more importantly on the recent issues of Climate change in response to combating challenges like global warming and biodiversity loss. These achievements has attracted international students to join SUA from different corners of the globe to come and study from experienced expertise found at the university, SUA has been receiving students from Lesotho, Rwanda, Kenya, China and some countries from Europe through programs exchange.

The college of forestry, Wildlife and Tourism through its Department of Ecosystem and conservation, Department of Wildlife Management, Department of Forest Resource Assessment and Management, Department of Tourism Management, Department of Forest Engineering and Wood Sciences and the Department of Forest and Environmental Economics has continued with its mission of producing quality graduates who will take part in solving global issues but also propagating the wheel of innovation in their areas of interest through provision of practical trainings after some times of lecture hours.

Mazumbai Forest Reserve, Ifinga Madaba, Olmotonyi, Mikumi National Park, Various Hotels and other College outpost has been areas of greater importance in facilitating the field practical trainings for Forestry, Wildlife, Tourism and Wood Technology and Value Addition students found at the college.

This March after the completion of University examinations all the attention are now toward field practical stations, its our hope you will join us in following up all that will be done by our students at various stations by following up news and different posts at the college and department’s website for learning and enjoyment.
