Student from BSc. Wood technologies and Value addition Year 1 at a Field Practical Station, Vuyisile Mini Furniture Factory, located in the Sokoine University of Agriculture at Morogoro Region. Students will be exposed to many wood processing techniques and safety measures in operating machines within the factory’s walls. They will be observing the machinery in action, witnessing the precision and skill required to transform raw timber into finished products. From sawmilling to joinery, from sanding to surface finishing, they witnessed the artistry involved in each step of the value-addition process.
The field practicals in the factory will be the beginning of an exciting journey for the Year 1 students in the BSc. Wood Technologies and Value Addition program. Equipped with practical skills, industry insights, and a passion for innovation.
