| Maria attained a Master degree in Business Administration (Marketing) at the University of Dar es salaam and a Bachelor of Tourism Management at Sokoine University of Agriculture both in Tanzania. She worked as a Marketing Manager at Umoja Switch Company Limited (Tanzania) in 2014, before joining SUA as an academic staff on March, 2015. Maria is interested in using tourism for conservation and poverty reduction. She is also interested in Tourism planning and policy making, Tourism marketing as well as community development and capacity building in natural resource management. Maria is currently pursuing another Master degree in Tourism Management at MOI University in Nairobi Kenya and she is also involved in an EU funded project AfricanBioServices that focuses on Linking biodiversity, ecosystem functions and services in the Serengeti-Mara Ecosystem. |
