Biography:
Muganda Michael is Lecturer at the Department of Wildlife Management, Sokoine University of Agriculture, Tanzania. He is currently doing his PhD on Conservation conflicts at Ghent University, Belgium. His primary research interests include themes as biodiversity conservation, Pro-poor tourism, conservation and development, community based tourism and community based wildlife conservation. Michael is finishing a research project on Conservation conflicts in Tanzania’s National Parks: a case of Saadani National Park. His earlier research project in the same area explored the Status and Ecology of Sokoke pipit in Zaraninge forest, Tanzania. Michael has been involved in a number of research projects undertaken by his Department.
