Biography:
Rose Peter Kicheleri is a Lecturer in the Department of Wildlife Management at SUA. She is a holder of MSc. Wildlife Management. Before Joining SUA, Rose worked as volunteer with Student Partnership Worldwide (SPW) in Tanzania, facilitating communities to make informed choices about their health and environment. After graduating she joined a five years international multidisciplinary project named Advancing Conservation in a Social Context (ACSC) that investigated the complex trade-offs that exist between human well-being and biodiversity conservation goals at local, national, and international scales. As a project assistant, she developed interest that led into her PhD studies in Natural Resources Governance. Besides teaching, she has participated in various extension services, short courses and trainings. She also saves as a secretary for the consulting research firm at SUA known as FOCONSULT. Her career interests centres on natural resources governance including national and international policies; community-based wildlife management; conservation and development.
